PM visit to Northamptonshire Crisis Centre

Rishi Sunak visited Northamptonshire today as the government announced £150million of funding for 150 projects to support mental health urgent and emergency care services. We are hopeful that that this is the beginning of mental health investment, which has face decades of underfunding in comparison to physical health.

Northamptonshire was singled out for the visit in recognition of the pioneering partnership work around the mental health crisis pathway in our county.

Sarah Hillier said "As CEO of Northamptonshire Mind and Chair of Mental Health Northants Collaboration (MHNC) I am proud of the staff and organisations supporting people in mental health crisis in the community.

Describing our work as ‘trailblazing’ and ‘exemplar’ it is important that we acknowledge these achievements. System change is never easy ! There is always more work to do !"
